Pastor Julie will be presenting Ashes in the morning at the Villa Park Train Station as well as between 4pm and 7pm in the evening at church. These events are open to the community. There will be no worship service but feel free to enter, received ashes, printed prayers you can do on your own and meditation music.

Seven Churches in Lombard and Villa Park have partnered together to offer this Bible Study during the 7 weeks at various locations. The seven churches partisipating are: Christ United Methodist Church, Faith Evangelical, Good Samaritan, Calvary United Methodist Church, Wood Dale, Bensenville: First and Elmhurst: First.


COMMUNITY MEALS - Third Thursdays     5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

T2S2 (Third Thursday Supper & Speaker)  A free meal is provided by the United Methodist Men.  A lite supper is served beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Special speakers will begin their presentations at 6:00 p.m.  The event ends at 7:00 p.m.  All folks in the Villa Park community and surrounding area are invited to attend.

GLEANING PROGRAM  2017 a HUGE SUCCESS!    Returns Summer 2018

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings, the CUMC van picks up fresh produce from local farmstands and distributes it to area food pantries.  We give thanks for the abundance of fresh vegetables and willing volunteers.  In 2016, we collected and distributed 1,185 bushels of fresh produce to local food pantries and feeding programs.  To volunteer (community invited) please contact Calvary UMC  630/530-8200.




LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR DAY - Saturday, September 22, 2018   

For the third year, Calvary UMC will participate with the ChristianChurch of Villa Park to assist seniors and others in the community who have difficulty either financially or physically in making repairs and maintaining their homes.   Painting, yard work, minor plumbing, and electrical work are just some of the things that volunteers did in 2015, 2016, 2017 and more work is planned for 2018.  Forms are available to request help at your home.  2018 Application  Volunteers are also needed.  2018 Volunteer application  More information and forms can be found at or contact  Like us on Facebook

United Methodist Men

Men of the Northern Illinois Conference, you're invited to join the Northern Illinois Conference UMM for the Spiritual Congress (annual men's retreat) to be held September 14-16 in Williams Bay, WI on scenic Lake Geneva. Spiritual Congress is presented by the NICUMM for spiritual development, training and fellowship with brothers from around the conference. For those of you who have attended before, you know that it is sure to be a spirit-filled, life-changing weekend. The topic of this year's Spiritual Congress is "Teach a Man to Fish"- presented by Charlie Lyons and Drew Oakley of the YoungER Men's Ministry Think Tank of the Southeast Jurisdiction UMM.

Resilient Grand Opening

Resilient | Community Launch September 29th & 30th| 1p.m. Resilient is a Christian Community Development Association and Not-for-Profit launched through Christ Church and its volunteers in partnership with Calvary United Methodist Church. It exists to assist community members in Southern DuPage County to flourish via: High School Leadership Initiatives, grammar school and junior high mentoring programs, job training, English as a Second Language program and Community Engagement with partnering churches, two of whom are Calvary United Methodist Church and God’s Congregation Fellowship. Our goal is to help our community members to become resilient by equipping them to thrive with the necessary training and significant mentoring relationship needed to do so. Resilient is housed in Calvary United Methodist Church located at 136 E. Highland, (corner of Summit & Highland) Villa Park. For more information, call: 630 974-0082.
